The difference between dynamic and static capacity refers to the different types of loads that a structure can withstand:

1. *Dynamic Capacity (100 kg)*: This is the maximum weight that the structure can safely support while moving or subject to changes in position or speed. Dynamic loading includes factors such as vibrations, impacts, or sudden movements, which can cause additional stresses on the structure.

2. *Static Capacity (300 kg)*: This is the maximum weight that the structure can support when it is completely still, without any movement. Static load refers to a stable, stationary load, such as the weight of objects standing still on a structure.

Important information from Ford Motor Company:

To preserve the structural integrity of the vehicle’s cargo area, Ford recommends the installation of J-braces when installing vehicle cargo bar accessories.
In practice, this means that in the case of accessories (e.g. hardtops) that extend above the side wall of the vehicle’s cargo area and weigh more than 45 kg, the installation of a J-brake for reinforcement is required. The part in question is shown in blue in the picture.
